1. General information
BreakMyBadHabit.com (“Platform”) is a service designed to help users break habits through goal-setting, daily tracking, and optional financial accountability.
These Terms of service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Platform, including mobile and web applications, and all related services.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use the Platform.
You must be legally competent and not under guardianship to use the Platform.
If you activate incentive charges, you must provide a valid payment method and be authorized to use it.
You are responsible for providing accurate and up-to-date information during registration.
The Platform is not responsible for false or misleading information provided during signup.
3. Use of the platform
Goal setting: Users create habit-breaking challenges with a goal, duration and daily progress tracking.
Free by default: Starting and tracking a challenge does not require payment or a credit card.
Optional incentive: Users may activate a daily accountability amount that can be charged for every failed, missed, or unreported day after the incentive is active.
Progress tracking: Users self-report their progress on a daily basis. If an incentive is active, missed or unreported past days may be treated as failed days for billing purposes.
4. Financial terms
No upfront payment: The Platform does not require users to deposit money, does not hold user funds, and does not pay interest.
Incentive activation: Optional incentive charges are activated through Stripe Checkout. By completing Checkout, you authorize charges for failed or missed days according to the daily amount you selected.
When charges apply: Incentive charges may apply only to days after the incentive has been activated. A charge may be recorded when you report a failed day or when a past day is left unreported.
Billing cycle: Incentive usage is recorded through Stripe and billed according to Stripe's billing period, typically monthly.
No success payments: Successful days do not create payments or refunds. If you succeed every day while an incentive is active, you owe no incentive charges for those days.
Refunds and disputes: Incentive charges already incurred are not refundable except where required by law or approved by the Platform. Billing disputes may be handled through Stripe or by contacting support.
Cancellation: You may cancel your incentive subscription in your account settings. Cancellation stops future incentive billing for active challenges, but does not remove charges already incurred.
Payment processing: Payments are processed by Stripe or another payment processor used by the Platform. The Platform is not a bank or financial institution.
5. User responsibilities
Users must provide honest and accurate progress updates.
The Platform is not responsible for verifying progress; the program relies on self-reporting.
Users must not use the Platform for illegal, fraudulent, or harmful activities.
Users declare that they will not use the Platform for money laundering or any financial purpose other than habit accountability.
Users commit to abiding by all applicable laws and regulations.
Users agree to notify the Platform of any suspicious situations or changes in personal circumstances that may be relevant to the use of the Platform.
6. Website content and habit advice
The Platform's website may include articles, guides, and other materials that offer suggestions about how to quit bad habits ("Content").
This Content is based on internet research, publicly available information, and common sense. It is provided for general informational purposes only.
The Content is not medical advice, health advice, psychological advice, or professional counseling. We are not doctors, therapists, or licensed health professionals.
Readers and users of the Platform should always do their own research, consult their doctor or another qualified professional before making decisions about their health or habits, and never base their behavior on our Content.

Users are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their login information.
9. Prohibited activities
Provide false progress reports.
Attempt to manipulate the system for financial gain.
Use the Platform for any activity that violates local laws or regulations.
10. Termination
The Platform reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts for violating these Terms, engaging in fraudulent activities, or abusing the program.
In cases of termination, any outstanding incentive charges remain due and any active incentive subscription may be cancelled.
11. Changes to the terms
The Platform may update these Terms at any time. Users will be notified of significant changes via email or in-app notification. Continued use of the Platform after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
12. Governing law and dispute resolution
Users must comply with all applicable local laws while using the Platform.
Disputes arising from these Terms will be resolved through negotiation between the user and the Platform. In the case of no agreement, the Platform will have the final word.
